Cognitive Behaviour Theory

Cognitive Behaviour Theory assumes that we cannot change anyone but ourselves. And not even that: we cannot adjust our behaviour without getting to the underlying level of our assumptions. Our assumptions drive our behaviour. Those who question their assumptions, on the other hand, open up perspectives and new approaches to solutions that would otherwise remain hidden from us.

Usage

If the circle cannot be resolved, the following questions may help:

  1. What would happen if you stuck to your assumptions for the next two years?
  2. What if you let go of your beliefs?
  3. What if you changed your beliefs into the opposite?
